ISU Police Outreach Services sponsors the Get A Grip Youth and College Leadership Programs. The department hosts statewide regional and local workshops attended by high school students from across Iowa. ISU students work on program topics, materials, and web content dealing with issues high school students face as they develop leadership and team building skills, learn how to set goals, and share positive strategies for addressing alcohol use and young driver safety.
The college program focuses on leadership, personal development, character, alcohol education, and decisions students face as they transition through the college experience. ISU students work on event planning and web content with an emphasis on information students can use to make informed choices.
