PrinciplesCommunityToday technology allows us to be part of physical and virtual communities. Being part of a community gives us a sense of belonging, but should also give us a sense of responsibility. Making good choices and acting in a positive way helps build a healthy community. RespectThe way we interact with other people not only impacts our future but also reflects who we are. We all know people with beliefs and views that differ from our own. Even if we may not agree with them, respecting those differences is what matters. ChoicesEveryday we are faced with hundreds of choices. Some choices may be simple like what to eat, what to do this weekend, or when to study. Other choices may affect the rest of our lives. AccountabilityEvery decision we make has a consequence. College is a time to discover who we are, while taking responsibility for what we do. We're expected to face the consequences of our actions. We're accountable to others but mainly accountable to ourselves. |
