It's Your Choice.

You have the ability to take control of your life. While you have a large group of people around you to offer advice… teachers, parents, peers, the media… you have the ultimate say in your choices. Do you make decisions based on what you hear from others, what you think or feel, or what you know is right? Sure, it’s okay to listen to what other people think, but you have to decide.

It's Useful to Have A Plan.

A plan can be short or long-term. While the short-term is easier to figure out, you can lose sight of what’s really important to you. Long-term planning can help you secure the type of life you’d like to lead. It’s difficult to know what will be important to you in 5 or 10 years, but your plan can be evaluated and changed. Editing plans is crucial to long-term success.

Change.

If there is one constant in our world, it is change. If you don’t, or are unwilling, to adapt to what’s going on around you, you are likely to make choices without enough information and without taking the time to really think about the outcomes.

Your Playlist.

Music can set the tone for our day. The same goes for the decisions we make on a daily basis. Once you find that certain group of people, that one club you can make a difference in, or something you are really good at, all you want to do is put it on repeat. Not only do you want to play it over and over, but you also want to share it with others. Find a mix for your playlist that will help you get where you want to go.

Respect. Decide. Own it.

There is power in being a leader. If you choose to be a leader, you set the tone for your life and those who follow you. You have an amazing power as a leader that cannot be turned off. You cannot force other people to lead, but you can encourage people to find good leaders to follow. Be yourself to the highest degree and people will follow your example.
